I went here for VA state inspection and my car was rejected. On the rejection sheet all the info was put in wrong including the mileage on my car and reasons for rejection differed from what I was told over the phone. When I called to make sure I was given the right rejection paper for my vehicle, the said it would be looked into and I would be called back. I never received a call back. I chose not to do repairs through H&M as they quoted $300 plus. My father is a mechanic and I bought parts, which cost less than $40 and he completed the necessary repairs. Fast forward. I Went back in for re-inspection and everything was in order except for a headlight was out. I drove my car the night prior and headlights were in working order. I thought that this was suspicious. I requested them to do the $46 headlight bulb replacement but to save the bad bulb. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I was handed the bulb with the glass broken so I have no way to prove whether or not the bulb was bad. (Be your own judge but I have changed many bulbs and the glass was never broken). I feel like I was taken advantage of being a female customer and want others to be aware. In my opinion since I did not do the repairs through H&M I feel as they were looking for a way to charge me something extra besides the inspection fee. Not to mention the man behind the counter was very rude and dismissive. I know I could've went and bought a $10 bulb and put it in myself and had it inspected a 3rd time but I did not want to deal with the hassle as I was told they would be closing early even though their Saturday hours say they are open until 2pm. I work M-F and would have had to wait another week to get my vehicle inspected again. If you want to rude customer service, un-returned phone calls and questionable business ethics go to H&M for your auto services. I myself will never return.
